Social Space
The Cheeze Factory is the red-and-white barn looking building between CEME, Fred Kaiser, and MacLoed pictured left. It is your student space!! Open to all students in engineering, it is a great place to socialize, relax between classes, play games, eat your lunch, use the computer lab, or even catch a quick nap. The space is as much yours as anyone else’s so treat it with respect, clean up after yourselves, and never feel scared to just walk on in! Read the history of the Cheeze here!

Cheap Pop
$1 Bottled Pop is available through a vending machine located in the Cheeze Factory. It is kept as well stocked as possible and occasionally certain pop is sold even cheaper than usual!
Computer Lab
The computer lab is a small but well-used room in the Cheeze Factory. There are six computers featuring a variety of programs available for your use. A shelf with some office tools (staplers, hole punch, etc), a scanner, printer, and photocopier are also all free to use there—just bring paper! During busy periods, “Priority Rules” may apply as academic work takes priority over social or entertainment activites. Just treat the space with respect, clean up after yourselves, and be courteous to other students and it’ll be able to continue to be well-used.
Frozen Treats
Are you hungry? Is everything closed on campus? Or do you simply want the cheapest most delicious snacks around? Check out our new frozen food and snack vending machines in the Cheeze! Fifty cent ice cream bars, microwave dinners, granola bars, and more. All profits go towards the EUS Scholarship.
“Kitchen”
Behind the bar area in the Cheeze Factory, there are microwaves, fridges, and some kitchen utensils available for your use. This section may be closed off during events but during the day, you’re welcome to use everything available.
Pool Table
A free pool table is available for your use in the Cheeze Factory. Use of the table is based on courtesy, so treat the table and other students using the table/wishing to use the table with respect!
Red Sales
You can find Red Sales, keeper of all engineering goods and home of the Red, inside the Cheeze.
Classroom Bookings

New Building
Your Executives and Councillors have been working hard to bring to you a solid plan for a brand new Engineering Student Centre and secure rights to the space in the new building. In November 2008, students voted 75% in approval of introducing a new student fee to fund a 9000 square foot, two-story, 5.2 million dollar student-run building! This exciting project will aim to bring you, our students, what you want in a building through a comprehensive consultation process. Information about this process will be coming over the course of the next year, and the building is aimed to be completed by September 2011.
