“The UBC BASc Professional Activities Fund (PAF) helps fund activities that enhance the educational experiences and/or professional development of undergraduate engineering students at UBC. The activities funded should fall outside the activities, facilities and equipment normally provided and funded by the University. Proposals will be considered for one-time expenditures, single-year projects, multi-year projects, and annual funding of ongoing projects. The type of proposals that might be funded from the Professional Activities Fund include a speaker’s series, workshops, career fairs, field trips, student competitions, space for projects, and tutorial services.”

Check often for deadlines of applications (these can sometimes be irregular).  There are two sections of PAF – Travel & Conferences Fund and the Projects Fund.  All information pertaining PAF can be found on the PAF website.  The website contains guidelines for when applying to PAF, an application form and an example.  Make sure to be clear in your application with what you are applying for funding for.

PAF deadlines are soon after the beginning of school in the Fall, so be sure to have your applications in on time.
