Club funding
There are three types of club funding: Club Base Fund, Club Performance Fund and Club Aid Fund.
Club Base Fund
Club base fund is the amount of money each club starts with at the beginning of the year. Each club receives $4.00 per student enrolled in their respective department. Environmental engineering and First Years receive $500. This is distributed to clubs mid-September by the EUS VP Finance.
Club Performance Fund
Club performance fund is highly dependent on the performance of the club as an active member of the EUS. To receive the full amount of the club performance fund, each respective council of each departments must meet the following criteria:
- Distribution of a club newsletter
- Editor of the club’s newsletter’s contact information must be given to the VP ComAd
- Newsletters must be printed and distributed in no less than four editions per semester
- A copy of the newsletter must be submitted to VP ComAd via e-mail
- Weekly meetings of club executive and year reps
- Held to discuss club business
- Appropriate minutes for each meeting must be e-mailed to the EUS Secretary no later than
noon of the Sunday following the meeting. - The VP ComAd shall be informed of the time and location chosen for meetings no later than
the first day of classes for each term - If not already provided, Executive Contact List, Club Constitution and Policy Manual, Contact information for executives and year reps must be provided to the EUS Secretary no later than September 20.
- Term Report
- Each term report must be submitted to VP ComAd no later than the last day of classes for each term
- Report must be at least one page, single spaced, twelve point font with one inch margins
- Attendance
- Each club president (or proxy) must attend each of the following meetings: tEUSday informational meetings, Council meetings, Board meetings and Grand Council meetings
Club Aid Fund
$1.00 per student is held in a separate Club Aid Fund. Clubs who meet 100% of all criteria for the Performance Fund and have an attendance of greater that or equal to 90% are eligible to apply to the Club Aid Funding once per term. This fund is typically used for improvements to clubrooms.
