CM/Ex-Officio Positions
Ex-Officios are positions within the Engineering Undergraduate Society that require far less time than Executive positions, but are still integral to the regular day-to-day functions of the Society.
CM Positions are slightly higher level positions that require more time and commitment but still less responsibility than an executive position. CMs are expected to be able to operate on a more independent manner and will often be tasked with projects and given a minimal amount of supervision.
The time commitments and responsibilities of all of these appointed positions varies widely. Detailed information is available on the respective CM Officer and Ex-O Officer pages, as well as in the EUS Policy Manual. Applications for vacant positions should be submitted to the EUS VP Administration & Communication. You may be asked for an interview by the Executive or Council prior to your appointment.
For those who would just like to be general volunteers at EUS events, e-mail volunteer@ubcengineers.ca with the specific event that you want to help out with.

Volunteer Coordinator:
We generally have many different people come up to us and say that they would like to help out, or have helped out, but due to the extremely busy schedules of your Executives we forget about these people or don’t contact them in a timely manner. the Volunteer Coordinator would keep contact with past and prospective volunteers so that we don’t lose track of people that are really eager.
Graduation Coordinator:
The Graduation Coordinator is in charge of liaising with Camp 5 to organize the Iron Ring ceremony for graduating students. As part of the duties, the Graduation Coordinator must coordinate with the Club Graduation Reps to ensure that all students are aware of their responsibilities in order to participate in the Iron Ring and Convocation ceremonies. As a final note, the Graduation Coordinator sits on the Class Act committee and the Grad Class council!
