SunDuring this day, two days before Frosh week starts, you will most likely sit and ponder how amazingly awesome Frosh week will be and may begin having symptoms of "frosh anxiety." If you begin feeling any of the symptoms listed below, attempting to enter in to a two day coma is NOT recommended.
FROSH ANXIETY
Emotional effects may include feelings of apprehension and excitment, trouble concentrating, feeling tense or jumpy, anticipating frosh week, irritability, restlessness, watching (and waiting) for signs (and occurrences) of frosh week and feeling like your mind's gone blank, as well as obsessions about sensations related to frosh week, deja vu, a trapped in your mind feeling, and feeling like everything non-frosh related is mundane.
Cognitive effects of frosh anxiety may include thoughts about suspected frosh activities, such as fear of tanking. You may fear that the stomach pains [a physical symptom of frosh anxiety] are from alcohol poisoning or that the shooting pains in your head [another physical symptom of frosh anxiety] are the result of a hangover. You feel an intense fear when you think of missing frosh week, or you may think of it more often than normal, or can’t get it out of your mind.
Behavioral effects may include withdrawal from situations where unpleasant effects of frosh anxiety have been experienced in the past. It can also be affected in ways which include changes in sleeping patterns, nail biting and increased motor tension, such as foot tapping.
