Faculty Cup III is happening on March 24th!! Come out and help Engineering beat out all the other faculties for the title of best faculty on campus!

What is faculty cup? It is a university-wide sports day where every faculty submits a team to participate in a series of events for title of best faculty at UBC. Between 12-5pm on Thursday March 24th, engineers will compete in events such a mudpit dodgeball, ultimate, human fooseball, tug-of-wars, and a campus-wide scavenger hunt against Commerce, Arts, Science, and HKin!

We need a team of 30-40 people to play in the various events. Registration, which includes a t-shirt, is $8 if you pay before the event and $10 if you pay the day of the event. Payment options will be provided once you have filled out the application form. You don’t have to be available for the entire day to participate. We’d love to have you even if you can only make it for a few hours. If you think you have what it takes to be a part of the engineering team please register using the link provided https://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?hl=en&formkey=dGRHOEYxVWVINFJmeDdMMjJZZkctaWc6MQ#gid=0.

Interested in volunteering? We need volunteers to help set up, take down, and event score keeping! Please use the above link to sign up as a volunteer!

Welcome to the 2010/2011 school year!!

There are lots of UBC REC events going on this term.  Possible leagues for first term: Handley Cup Soccer, Ultimate, Point Grey Football, Todd Ice Hockey, Dodgeball, SRC Futsal, Cross Volleyball, Nitobe Basketball, and Bodin Ball Hockey.  Make sure to sign up your teams before the registration deadlines and hand in your subsidy forms to receive your reimbursements (see below).  All information regarding REC sports can be found at www.rec.ubc.ca

Stay tuned for information regarding the latest upcoming EUS and REC events. This term we are planning to organize a soccer tournament and perhaps a “friendly” game against the forestry students.  Also in the works is an E-ball soccer tournament using the giant 6ft-diameter soccer ball.

Looking for members for you team?
