Each year, the Canadian Engineering Competition (CEC) brings together 150 of the most innovative and creative engineering undergraduate students from across the nation to compete against each other in one of six categories. Each competition category at CEC challenges its participants to expand their frame of reference and to identify solutions to problems experienced by our profession. At the Western Engineering Competition (regional equivalent), competitors who place in the top first and second places in each competition category are invited to attend this prestigious national competition. This past year’s CEC took place at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. UBC is proud to be the host society for CEC 2012!
