Ex-Officios are the backbone of the EUS. They are assigned to very specific, important tasks that keep the Society running. Each Ex-Officio works in conjunction with a supervising Executive and CM Officer.

Slipstick Editor [slipstick@ubcengineers.ca] – Ben Duenas
The Slipstick Editor is responsible for leading a team of individuals to create the Engineering yearbook, the Slipstick. The Editor is responsible for collecting submissions from various different groups and for overseeing the entire publication and acting as chief editor.
Handbuk Editor [handbuk@ubcengineers.ca] - Stephanie Mah
The Handbuk Editor is responsible for publishing the annual Engineering agenda, the Handbuk. This position only exists over the summer, as the agendas are published prior to September of the school year.
e-nEUS Editor [eneus@ubcengineers.ca] – hiring now
The nEUSletter Editor is a new position for this academic year. The nEUSletter editor will be responsible for liaising with the faculty, clubs and other Engineering groups to create, publish and distribute a weekly E-Newsletter to all Engineering Students.
Archivist [archivist@ubcengineers.ca] -Kevin Petersen
The Archivist is responsible for maintaining the EUS archives and ensuring that copies of all official EUS documents and publications are archived in an organized manner. This position is very interesting as it provides a great opportunity to take in the rich history of UBC Engineering.
Webmaster [webmaster@ubcengineers.ca] – Denis Abakalov
The Webmaster is responsible for maintaining the EUS website, as well as the Frosh and E-Week sites.
Vending & Arcade Technician [vending@ubcengineers.ca] – Jay Jeong
The Vending & Arcade Technician is responsible for stocking & repairing the EUS vending machines as well as maintaining the EUS arcade games located in the Cheeze.
Head Griller [grill@ubcengineers.ca] – Hans Seidemann
The Head Griller is responsible for organizing and staffing BBQs at EUS events and tEUSday meetings. This includes working with the Food & Beverage Manager to ensure supplies are available when required.
Head Bartender [bar@ubcengineers.ca] - Jonathan Munro
The Head Bartender is responsible for organizing and staffing the bar at all licensed EUS events. The Head Bartender is required to have their Serving it Right certification and acts as the lead server at EUS events. This includes working with the Food & Beverage Manager to ensure supplies are available when required.
Red Sales Assistant [redsales@ubcengineers.ca] – Jon Serion
The Red Sales Assistant serves as an additional salesperson for Red Sales.
Keepers of the Cairn [keeper@ubcengineers.ca]- vacant
The Keepers of the Cairn are a select group of first year students who are responsible for the upkeep of the Engineering Cairn (located on Main Mall). This prestigious position carries a great deal of respect and history, and is an excellent way for new students to get involved in the Society.
Godiva Band Leader [godivaband@ubcengineers.ca] – Devon Brownlee
The Godiva Band Leader organizes the EUS Godiva Band, which performs at various EUS spirit events throughout the year.
Cheeze Renos [renos@ubcengineers.ca] – Adrian Colombo
The Cheeze Renos manager is responsible for planning and carrying out repairs and renovations to the Cheeze Factory. This ranges from simple repair of a broken door to the installation of the computer lab.
Computer Lab Techies [complab@ubcengineers.ca] – Trev Lewis
The Computer Lab Techies are responsible for the upkeep of the EUS Computer Lab, located in the Cheeze. This includes ensuring the computers and printer are all functional and have useful Engineering software installed on them.
Co-op Committee Rep [co-op@ubcengineers.ca] -vacant
The Co-op Committee Representative sits on the Faculty Co-op Committee along with the VP Academic. This position acts as one of the primary avenues for student suggestions and complaints about how Engineering Co-op is run. If you have any questions, suggestions or complaints about how Co-op works here at UBC, this is the person to contact.
