We ended last term with Christmas Caroling, bringing out a ton of engineers to spread cheer all around campus. We also witnessed the revival of the Godiva band, performing all of the carols we sang, further enhancing the good times felt by everyone there. But alot happened first term, with too many social events to count. Here’s looking back at some of the events term 1 held.

Frosh Week

Frosh Week. Was. Epic. Just check out our Frosh Week article we did earlier.

Mexichem

MEXICHEM2

CHBE’S Mexichem was an awesome kick-off party for CHBE.  Open to all engineers, the party had a quite a few great competitions, from a Pinata hitting event, to a chili pepper eating contest that was hard to watch-and stomach.

Ohmcoming

ECE-RESISTOR RACESBeing the most successful Ohmcoming ECE has had in recent years, competitors had quite a few spectators when they began the event’s featured competition, Resistor Races.  With eight teams participating,it was a long and hard-fought competition (miraculously, no one got burned by the soldering irons).  Congratulations go to the alumni team for winning this year’s race.

Cheeze Tub

Cheeze Tub, Part 2; Now with actual hot tubs! The party lasted all night, and went well into the morning before the lack of water in the tubs and the chilly cold sent people home-reluctantly.

Halloween Ball ’09
Halloween-costume

Halloween Ball ’09, The biggest party of first term, was beyond epic. Even with the rain, the Cheeze was so full that people were spilling into the courtyard. With two amazing bands, and a ton of people in great costumes, this was one of the most successful Halloween Ball’s the Cheeze has hosted in years. Props go to this year’s “Best Costume” Winner! (pictured to the right).

70′s Night was totally swinging. With awesome costumes, great tunes, and some wicked dance moves, it was a great party to finish off the first term.
