The EUS Executive would like to heartily congratulate the September EUS Volunteer of the Month, Julian Ritchie, who will be receiving a $20 UBC Food Services gift card and a selection of merchandise of his choice from Red Sales!
Julian was everywhere during the Frosh Weeks, helping out or providing energy and amazing spirit at almost all of the events. He was always there to answer any questions any first years had or lend a helping hand to the executive and spirit coordinators. At Frosh Retreat, he went way beyond the call of his volunteer duties to make sure that everyone had a good and safe time. His help has greatly contributed to the first year experience here in engineering and promoted the EUS in a positive spirited way!
“Julian is ridiculous. I don’t even know how he finds out about this stuff! He always offers his help and really takes on the task. He won’t stop until everything is sorted out and looks happy the whole time.”
-Madeleine, VP External
“Julian unquestioningly lends a hand wherever it’s needed. In the past month, he has patrolled massive bonfires, fanned stubborn charcoal, stocked a diabetics nightmare’s worth of pop and fixed Cheeze tables. Little things like running to find paper plates, to enormous tasks like preventing PPs from falling off cliffs, Julian is always there and always prepared to help. He quite often has nice whiskey around too.”
-Tagg, VP Finance
So if you see Julian around, please take a second to say thanks, and stay tuned for the announcement of the October EUS Volunteer (a.k.a. Super Person) of the Month!
