Your Engineering Undergraduate Society: high-capacity, accountable, inclusive, representative, relevant.
The EUS I envision is among the most active and effective student societies on campus, offering a wide variety of services and events for students of all different backgrounds and interests.
Over the past few years, the EUS has made great strides in increasing its capacity to serve engineering students. This is thanks to dedicated student leaders who have stepped up, looked for greater impact, and created change. While appreciating our rich history and remaining loyal to traditions, we can still do more. We must keep moving forwards and ensure we are addressing both the social and academic needs of today’s engineering students. By enlarging E-Team, diversifying events, and enhancing your curriculum, I hope to accomplish just that.
As President, I would actively solicit input from all students to increase the number and quality of services offered to you, and work more closely with other engineering student organizations, particularly the discipline clubs, in order to form a stronger and more inclusive student community. I have the leadership experience and judgement to drive the society in a positive direction. I am approachable, dedicated, an unashamed Trekkie and fan of old-school SNES games, and unfortunately a deserter of my East Coast-roots: BC’s beautiful springs have completely won out over April blizzards! So from March 8-14, log on to your Student Service Centre and click on WebVote to choose the direction your Engineering Undergraduate Society will take.
